Please read this entire screen BEFORE trying to look at the directories....! This is the page that will contain the John Tyler High School Class of 1970 Directory. The directory is large (over 120 pages and growing) but is the most complete directory that we have ever compiled. Because the latest version will always be online, you will have the latest classmate information at your fingertips. As we find more of the missing, have classmates change their personal information, etc. we will update the directory online (probably) weekly. The directory can be viewed 3 ways...online, downloaded to your hard drive and viewed, or printed on your printer. There is a special viewing program that needs to be installed on your computer. Many of you will already have this installed because (you may not know it) you've used it before. Sample Directory - 48k - (TRY THIS FIRST) I'm putting a "test" or sample copy of the directory below that you can click on to see if you can read it. Please try this before you attempt to look at the full directory. Don't freak out if you can't. Many of you have very diverse computer systems and I'm sure we can get a workable solution on your machine. Try it below and email me your results. Full Directory - Nearly 3 meg - (will probably take a few minutes to get) The Full directory will be updated and placed on this web periodically. Once you have tested that you can read it (using the sample directory), you are ready to view/save the full one. Most of you will take several minutes (over 10) to download it. It is password protected. This is to insure that the rest of the world that didn't go to John Tyler doesn't have easy access to your information. I came up with a password that at least 95% of you would know having gone to JT. The password is a 6 letter word (lowercase only) that was the nickname of our Asst. Principal, Mr. Woods. If you do not know the password, either call another classmate that does, or email me. Once you have entered the password, look at the bottom of the screen and you will see the file downloading.....PLEASE LET IT FINISH DOWNLOADING BEFORE YOUR START SCROLLING THROUGH!!! Otherwise it may hang and you will get to start over. When it is finished you may either scroll around and look at it, save it to hard disk (click on upper left "File", "Save As", etc.), or print it (click on upper left "File", "Print", etc.). That's all there is to it. If you have problems, I'll try to help you. Email me with details of what went wrong. Changes and Additions I'm sure after you have looked at it, you will have changes or additions to make to your information. You may also know more info on a classmate. Please fill out a Contact Form with your name and just the changes/additions. I'll make sure the directory gets updated. If you are filling in information about a classmate, please make sure you are correct. This directory is a working document and will change often...especially over the next couple of weeks. The version that will be on the CD will be identical except that it will be of a much higher resolution for printing. I will probably not put that version on the web as it is over 20 megabyte and would take most of you all day to download. It will come on your CD along with over 500 photos. Enjoy! Randy
