05/11/02 - I finally got this web site back up. To make a very long story short...last fall the web hosting service I used was moved all of the webs to new servers...except mine. They said that I had the Nimda virus on my web and that I would have to rebuild it. No problem. I have backups. As I was beginning to do this, the company was sold to another and they moved everything again. I was working 100+ hours per week at my "day" job and by the time I got back to getting the site back up they had erased all that I had done saying that I was not in their administrative system. They said that I had not renewed the web domain names, etc. This was all BS and I showed them the documentation. This all took weeks. Now I'm ready to reinstall and their new servers don't work. After several months of being down, I was finally fed up with it and moved the whole "kit and kaboodle" to a new hosting service. Moving all 6 of my domain names (including jths70.org) took a month as they had an old email address in my registration, they kept sending update mail to it and it no longer existed. Anyway, about March or April of 2002 I finally got The Lion's Tale up and running on the new site. Today I got the old web site back up. I am still making some small updates but it should be as before. I will now (as time permits) change the theme and update the other pages. Sorry for the long outage. I hope this new hosting service is more reliable than the old one.

08/06/00 - JT Directory -  I posted the Full JT Class of 70 Directory on the web site today. It is the first full version to be released. CD coming soon.

08/04/00 - Reunion Photos - I added selected photos from both event nights of Reunion 2000 as well as some old photos from our past. We've been busy getting the directory in final order. It is very large (120 pages) but is the most complete directory to date. It will come on the CD along with a viewer. If you want to have your own "hardcopy" you can print it from the CD. For those that do not yet have a computer, arrangements will be made through myself or Nell Hawkins to get a copy printed for you. 

07/22/00 - Directory Updates - We are getting the directory up to date before we ship it out to all that attended. I had some preliminary copies at the Saturday night event so classmates could look it over and make any additions/changes necessary. I have made all of those updates including the ones emailed to me. If you want to know what data is missing by your name and wonderful 1967-70 photo in the directory, please drop me an email and I will let you know what is missing as I get time. Any of the rest of you that find your name in the missing list, I need to get your completed Contact Form ASAP (or you will not appear in the directory) as we need to wrap this up in a week or two. 

07/18/00 - Web Site Problems today - The website provider (Digiweb.com) is the physical place where the web (www.jths70.org and all my other webs) resides on the Internet. They are located in Maryland. I rent space from them to put our (my) webs on. This space I donate to the JTHS Alumni. Last night I split/built the different discussion groups and they worked fine. This morning when I tried to use several functions (Next, Previous, Reply, etc.) on the discussions, they failed with the error messages you may have seen. I didn't think that this was something I had caused and called them. I couldn't even put a note on the front web page to notify you that it was a web site problem, not yours. Anyway, it was, indeed, a Digiweb problem and they fixed it this afternoon. Although this is a rare occurrence, we may see these types of things from time to time. I usually catch them early as I am on the web 20 hours a day....ok, 16. I appreciate your patience. I will probably build a group address note from all of your email addresses so if this happens again, I can email you all that the problem is being worked on. Other than slow response at times, (just the way the young internet is), please let me know when you have a CONSISTENT problem with something.

07/17/00 - Old Photos - We had many good comments on the old photos we printed larger pictures of including those of Ramey, Orr, Boulter, etc. We would like to have the other schools (Dixie, Mattie Jones, Hubbard, Roberts, etc.) represented for the web site and CD. I will be coming back down to Tyler in a couple or three weeks and will bring my scanner and laptop. If you have some old group photos from your early years that you would let us scan, please contact Nell Hawkins (903-509-0322) or Patty Hearne Kirkpatrick (903-839-9208) and they can arrange to get your photos so we can scan them. It would be best (if you can) to write your name on the back of each photo.
